Despite this, wind generators generally have very light blades and slow moving motors which means that electricity can be generated in winds as light as seven or eight miles per hour. Providing you are not intending to connect your wind generated supply to the main grid you can complete all the work yourself. If you wish to connect to the grid you will need to comply with specific instructions regarding connections and who is able to complete them.
